These aluminium and copper cables are UK Power Network (UKPN) approved and are devised for use by Distribution Network Operators (DNOs) to provide the final connection to residential properties. Additional functionality includes use for sub-main distribution and within high-rise buildings and street lighting systems.
The choice between Concentric and Split Concentric cable is determined by the supply type: TN-C-S supply for Concentric and TN-S supply for Split Concentric. These are LSZH cables (low smoke zero halogen) with the outersheath suitable for installations requiring a reduction to the risk to human life or sensitive equipment in the event of fire
