The XLPE 15V aluminum conductor insulated cable features a compact round conductor typically made of aluminum strands, blocked or not, and comes with a cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) cover in black or gray color, with special characteristics to be resistant against electric tracking and UV-rays.
As XLPE is a thermoset material, the 15KV aluminum conductor insulated cable enables operation up to 90°C continuously all while delivering higher capacity when compared to the thermoplastic materials.
Main applications for insulated aluminum cables is on compact overhead, primary power distribution, medium-voltage networks located in urban and wooded areas.
