4. Never alter heating cable in any way. If make shorter, it will overheat. Any attempt to physically alter the heating cable will make the cable can NOT be repaired.
5. The entire heating cable must be in contact with pipe.
6. Do not install the same cable on different pipe.
7. Never allow heating cable to touch, cross or overlap itself at any point.
